The Generational Gamers’s Podcast 13 (Mobile Gaming and the New Year)

Ben asked to skip straight to episode 14, but Jon is not superstitious.  Maybe Jon was wrong.  The episode almost didn't happen due to a surprise work trip, but the guys pulled it off.  They were able to talk about hopes for 2017 and how mobile gaming has changed for them.  They got cut short, but so goes the curse of number 13.

The Generational Gamers’s Podcast 12 (The Great Console Wars)

Ben and Jon are great friends but troubled times come to the Generational Gamers.  To start with, Ben gets blindsided by Jon's nickname.  Furthermore, the team is divided when it comes to comes to which controller, Playstation or XBox, feels better to play with.  There is one thing that they can agree on, which is that neither of them are qualified to discuss which consoles should have one the wars!

The Generational Gamers’s Podcast 10 (Emulating the Past for a Better Future)

Jon gets to harass Ben at the beginning about why he didn't get Pokemon Sun or Moon on day one and why he hates cute animals. Once we really get into today's topic, we get to talk emulations.  This way of playing games has improved drastically over the years and allowed for people to play games they wouldn't be able to play other ways.  Ethical questions still remain for this style of playing, but more and more legitimate options are coming to the market.

At the end of the episode, we discuss Sword Art Online, an anime cartoon about a virtual reality game.  Jon is not into anime and gives a lot of opinions on this one.  If you do not want to hear about an anime show, just turn us off after we sign off.

The Generational Gamers’s Podcast 8 (Render Me Quizzical)

In this episode, we discuss puzzle games and puzzles in games. Jon mentions ones that are too hard to be fun and the times he has had to use guides.  Ben, like always, ties this topic to Destiny and Pokémon.  We did not talk about every puzzle game because we didn't want to have a 30 hour episode.

The Generational Gamers’s Podcast Special Episode 1 (Josh Stapleton)

In this special episode, Jon has the privilege of speaking with Josh Stapleton.  They talk about what Josh plays, but they really get going when they get into retro collecting.  Josh was an amazing guest to have for the first special episode and helped to bring the show back around thought of Generational Gaming.

The Generational Gamers’s Podcast 5 (Intro to the vast world of RPGs)

In this episode we start our discussion of RPGs. First, we get some business out of the way and we speak about what we have been up to. It's been a while sense we last got together, so we have a lot to talk about with our own gaming. Of course, Ben gives his shout outs to Destiny and the new DLC. This is just the first part of our discussion on RPGs because we want to give this great subject the time it deserves.

The Generational Gamers’s Podcast 2 (Shooting our way through the generations)

Although we are still working through audio issues, this episode we discus how first person shooters have changed throughout the generations. Ben puts on his professor hat and schools Jon on newer shooters and how the controls have changed.  There is a small discussion about whether or not Jon should buy the NES Classic.
